Around Karnol – Discover South Tyrol

There are plenty of long and short hikes that can be taken directly from the Baumannhof. For example to St. Leonhard above Karnol, to St. Andrä via a pretty forest track which is also known as the Kreuzweg or “Way of the Cross”.

Another option is the hike to the Ackerboden Hut and then onwards to the Ochsen Alp. Another worthwhile excursion is to the Kneipp facilities in the neighbouring village of Vahrn.

In winter we are only 5 minutes by car from the “PLOSE” gondola valley station. The “PLOSE” is a local recreation area suitable for all families, ideal for skiing and for great tobogganing, and, during the summer months, for countless hikes in the unspoilt natural surroundings.
